Spearing partners in Palma

For the winter our parents drove our boat down to Palma, where it now lays in the Club Nautic S‘Arenal. We were very happy to hear that we found a second team to train with during the winter season in Mallorca. Their boat arrived one day later than ours and we started training on the bay. We had already had a day to get used to the Mediterranean Sea and generally had an advantage in terms of experience on the boat, but they learned quickly and were tactically strong. We started to become a very homogeneous group and the training was very effective.

During the six days of training we experience a variety of conditions which allowed us to practice maneuvers in different winds and a range of swells. We were able to progress well with our coach Philipp H. and are looking forward to sail in Palma again in less than a month.

Before the sailing part started, the Zschech-Baumann racing team also completed several beach cleanups in an effort to make a small but vital impact. We call for climate action and instead of pushing around the responsibility from person to person, we make the difference.
