Upgrade

After the world championship in el Balís and an additional few days of holidays, it was time for us to rigg up our new beast, the 49er FX 682, and take it for a ride on home waters. We were a little lost when we first tried to rigg up the boat with all of the extensions in material that were different from our previous boat, but when we were finally done, we went out for a session. We were amazed by the speed of the boat and by the stability of the boat, especially on downwind. You can find some footage from our first session on our instagram profile.

At the end of the summer break we will try to get full grip of the handling and maneuvers in the 49er during a week of training in Eckernförde. We hope for various winds and will report to you soon.
