On the road to success training is the most important tool, so is consistency, and the best way to catch up with the best is training harder. During our two month semester break we had planned to train for almost every day we have. Strong winds and a couple of obligations at home made it impossible to train for two months straight, but we can say that we used the time as effectively as possible.
Partnering up with Krauss Suemmchen Sailing we managed to train consistently and achieve the biggest possible progress. With three different coaches we worked on dozens of details until complete exhaustion. After or before sailing we went to the gym and constantly ate to gain weight. Leander has 82 Kg now being closer than ever to the perfect weight. Amal has also made great progress.
Our main focus during training was directed towards starting, speed testing with the new mainsail and maneuvers. We managed to do 2 fotoshoots, but failed to produce proper GoPro or video content. The days were long and exhausting, but a lot more structured than previously. Nevertheless we noticed exhaustion was erupting, which would ultimately make the Princess Sofia Worldcup hard.
