From Munich straight to lake garda

From Munich straight to lake Garda. After finishing our German championship in Munich we headed straight to lake Garda for some training. The venue is known for its perfect conditions for training due to its stable and strong winds. We spent a total of 9 days there, gathering many experiences and getting into maneuver routines. Together with our two spearing partners we also improved the handling and technique in stronger winds.

We usually started off the day with some morning sports followed by a cold bath in the lake. Normally we went out at around 10 and sailed until the wind changed its direction. In the afternoon we had to wait for Wind often and could nit fully rely on the wind system. This was a bit shocking to us, who had known the wind circulation at lake Garda since we are young. The reason for the disturbance of this natural phenomenon is climate change, an issue we try to tackle with all we can.

Either way we took advantage of any wind we had and had a great week of training. We are looking forward to sailing here again in two weeks of time, before we drive our boats down to Vilamoura for winter.
